The Southern Farming Series is dedicated to sharing farm family stories as well as shedding light on the various aspects of farming. We'll dive into every detail from sugar cane in South Louisiana to the pecan groves of South Georgia. Each Family shares something unique. Not one alike. We aim to share their culture, history, and knowledge with you.
EPISODE 1 / MEET THE GRAVOIS
Primarily farming sugar cane and tobacco, this farm family depends on the works of every hand. Nine generations deep of farming knowledge, sweat, innovation and maybe a little bit of tears, the family is the backbone of this operation. No matter what happens, someone is there to help.
EPISODE 2 / MEET THE WHITAKERS
From renting land to owning a vast Arkansas farm, The Whitakers, push through anything to prosper. Focusing on the new innovations in agriculture. Sam focuses a lot of time and land to cover crops.
EPISODE 3 / MEET FRANK BROOKS
In the heart of pecan country in south Georgia, Frank Brooks looks to continue what his grandfather started. Primarily farming pecans and peanuts, we'll dive into the various aspects of his operation.
EPISODE 4 / MEET THE BAKERS
An Arkansas husband and wife-lead operation on family soil. A closed down gin and newly shaped land, the Bakers continue the family legacy. Primarily focusing on corn and soybeans.
EPISODE 5 / MEET THE MCDANIELS
A family-lead operation in West Tennessee. The McDaniels operation is made up of 3 brothers and a dad all looking to push their farm to success. Primarily focusing on corn, cotton and soybeans.
EPISODE 6 / SUGARCANE AND HURRICANES
Visit the Gravois once again to get an in depth look at their day to day operation with sugar cane and crazy weather.
EPISODE 7 / CORN HARVEST AND TEAMWORK
Visit the Bakers and get an in-depth look at how much value their workers bring them. More information on land management, controlled burns and corn.
EPISODE 8 / PEANUTS AND PRECISION
Visit Frank Brooks as he dives deeper into peanut harvest season.
EPISODE 9 / THE NEXT IN LINE
The next generation is our greatest treasure as adults. Kids are a message we send to a time we won't get to see. In this episode, we write our narrative on what they mean to us.

EPISODE 1 / INTEGRITY
Take a trip back to Louisiana with the Gravois. We focus on the integrity of a person, the mission we have for our children and dive deeper into Tobacco.
It's hard to find good work these days. But the Bakers have some amazing help. From H2A workers being like family to the Bakers to Meredith being a woman in Farming. This episode touches hearts!
